Hi fellow button pushers!

I've started this blog as an experiment, just to see if it creates any interest. The free-forum experiment wasnt a success - its too invasive, with its constant reminders and advertising.

We'll see how it goes.

Interest in the 2.4g Single Channel Emulation Encoder project has far exceeded my expectations. Well over 40 are now in use, and I've just received my second batch of commercially made PCBs - these should keep me going for a while. Single-channel flyers in America, Australia, New Zealand, and even the Phillipines have also joined in the fun, with loads of user photos still to be published on the singlechannel website.

The current (and probably final) version is 'K' so anyone who wants to upgrade (I'd prefer it if everyone did, although there are no problems with any previous version) please send an SAE and I'll get a 'K' chip back to you ASAP. The latest revisions have been mostly about enhanced safety, but the most recent mod was to the throttle LED which at mid-throttle now indicates the next throttle position as a fast or slow flash, rather than the previous steady flash and guess which throttle position came next!

The Reeds Emulation Encoder is also (probably) on its final version, but as yet I've not received enough requests to justify the expense of commercial PCBs, so for now its the odd home-made blue-toner transfer board as & when I can make them. The last revision was to give variable speed on the inbuilt servo-slow which previously was fixed at 'Bonner Duramite' timings.

So thank you for your support, and happy landings!

Phil
